Backcountry Bootcamp Jan. 24-25, 2020

This Bootcamp really didn’t disappoint - this group of ladies busted their ass on day one in an absolute cloud fart. We could not see 10 feet, and the snow was up to our necks but everyone worked hard at learning how to carve, sidehill and shithook. The sun came out for us in full force on day two and the ladies let loose! It was blower and there were fresh tracks everywhere! I don’t think a single one of us could lift our arms by the end of the day!

2018 La Niña Charity Ride

Well the 5th annual Charity Ride has come and gone - it truly does keep getting better and better every year! This is a super fun event that comes together when a bunch of local guides and businesses come together and volunteer and donate goods and services to kick of the season with a “pay it forward” mindset.

Huge thanks to all of our guides who volunteered their time; Nadine Overwater, Brianna Lukkar, Kelsey Stefanyk, Shelly Ferguson, Rob Alford, Cody Borchers, Lorne Alcock and Riley Suhan. And to the help on the tail from Nick Mader. We also have our photographers Cass Prochera and Pat Garbutt to thank for all these amazing images. And Daniel Kellie at Great Canadian Snowmobile Tours for allowing us the use of his tenure on Frisby.

The raffle table at the Big Eddy Pub is made awesome by many sponsors including Brady Beruschi and Best Western Plus and Stoke Hotel, Downie Timber, Cheetah Factory Racing, Fox Maple Custom Homes out of Stoney Plain, Evolved Sports Science out of Calgary, Avalanche Safety Solutions out of Golden, Riderz Edson, CKMP, 509inc, Basecamp Guesthouse, La Niña Sled Camp, Mt. Begbie Brewery, Stoke Roasted and anyone I may have missed.

We managed to raise $6376 for the Revelstoke Womens’ Shelter this year and will be looking to beat this amount next year! Always looking for sponsors, participants, donations for each years ride which takes place mid-December. Contact me if you would like to be a part of this or if you have any ideas for local small charities that could use the boost.

Backcountry Bootcamp Dec. 28-29th, 2017

La Niña Sled Camp season started out with a bang and two full groups of lady shredders along with 4 amazing coaches. We had ladies travel all the way up from California to join us for this one. The conditions were variable and we had great snow with some grey skies but the second day opened up a little for us and we had some beauty visibility and some very tired girls by lunch. Thank you to everyone for coming out for the first Bootcamp of the year, it was a success an we saw lots of ladies step it up a notch!
