Last years' charity ride was a huge success and we raised a total of $7,720 for the Open Mountains Project - a local non-profit that gets vulnerable kids out into the mountains.

Open to ideas for local charities to support for this year's event, please email me if you have any ideas or would like to be involved in any way.

we have added a little somethin somethin for the men who are travelling out with you!

New this year, we are going to offer a couple of weekend warrior days.

These camps are intended to catch you up on the current snowpack in the Revelstoke area in a relaxed pub atmosphere on Friday evening. Discussions will include a weather summary, persistent weak layers, current problems and where to spot out those potentially dangerous slopes.

The following day will be a guided ride where we will review the previous evenings discussion and work on some sled skills while we are at it.

At some point in the day, there will be a scenario set up for the group to practice companion rescue.

This camp is open to all genders and works the best when you do it with some of your regular riding partners, so you can find those strengths and weaknesses in your group and gain confidence working together.

This is NOT a certified avalanche course but an opportunity to practice the skills you need with qualified help while in the backcountry.

AST level 1 minimum requirement to attend this camp.

Family Day Youth Camp

Stay tuned for more info but we will be teaming up with Avalanche Canada this year to promote avalanche safety in the backcountry for youth riders.

This will be one day of hands on avalanche education offered for free by Avalanche Canada and the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club.

Those riders (and parents or guardians) that attend the safety day will be offered a very large discount to come out and ride with the pros the following day, where they can practice what they learnt and gain some sled skills while they are at it!

Details to follow.
